A Very Big Day!

Yesterday was a big day in our adventure. I signed a listing agreement with a broker to sell Denita and began moving "stuff" off the boat and bringing it here to Norv. Living in two places means that what you need is never where you are so I think it is going to be easier to haul what I need back and forth. There are one or two small projects to do on the boat so I will have to carry my tools around more but at least they will be where I am most of the time. I will still be sleeping on the boat a night or two a week. It was important to get the boat listed now as there is a major boat show coming up in September and the broker wanted to have her listed at their display and on the internet. Here is a link to the listing.

It could take some time to sell her and we are not in a big hurry so we can afford to hold out for a good price. Judy, our broker, tells us that people are not ordering new boats in this economy and since they are hanging on to what they have there are not as many blue water boats like ours on the market as there might be normally. I guess time will tell. We are going to take our time and if we still have her next summer, oh well, I guess we will just have to take her sailing!

In the mean time we continue to work at making Norv our full time home.
